Megadhutha ( मेघदूतम् )

During my tenure at Atelier Mondial, Switzerland, one of my inspirations was the ‘cloud’. Recurring as it was; for the first time I saw clouds from atop in an airplane, experienced the scenic beauty of the place and observed numerous thermal power chimneys that puffed cloud-like steam. These experiences of clouds drew me back to memories of Meghdutha (the cloud messenger, a Sanskrit epic poem) and Indian philosophy. From here, through a series of drawings, I explored and imagined the concept of ‘cloud makers’ as a metaphor.
